This team provides direct support to the National President and National Executive Vice-President and coordinates CEIU’s national operations, including National Executive meetings, Triennial Conventions, and conferences. The team maintains membership lists in coordination with PSAC to ensure accurate records and effective communication. Administrative staff also manage logistics, correspondence, and documentation to support the smooth day-to-day operations of the National Office.

This team provides direct support to members and locals through grievance handling, consultations, training and advice on relations matters. The team ensures members receive fair and informed representation.

National Officers support the union’s mandate through specialized expertise: 

• Employment Equity & Human Rights Officer – Advances equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives within CEIU and the broader public service. 

• Health & Safety Officer – Provides advice and advocacy on workplace health and safety, mental health, accommodations, and prevention programs. 

• Membership Engagement Officers – Strengthen connections between members, locals, regions, and the National Office through outreach, education, and mobilization. 

• Communications Officer – Manages internal and external communications, keeping members informed and engaged through campaigns, newsletters, and digital platforms. 

This team is responsible for budgeting, payroll, claim processing, and financial management. The Finance team ensures accountability and compliance with CEIU’s bylaws, regulations, and policies.

Our Human Resources Generalist ensures CEIU is a leader in effective human resources management, and oversees staffing, labour relations, performance management, and workplace policies to support consistent practices across the organization.
