Scholarships
CEIU proudly invests in the education, training and future of its members and their families through the CEIU National Scholarship Initiative. This initiative reflects our commitment to building stronger communities and supporting lifelong learning.
Each year, CEIU awards up to 15 scholarships of $5,000 to members in good standing, their spouses or common-law partners, or their dependents. Some scholarships are specifically for applicants from equity-deserving groups, including Indigenous members, racialized members, 2SLGBTQIA+ members, and members with disabilities, in recognition of the barriers these groups continue to face in accessing education and training.
Scholarships are funded through CEIU’s insurance partner, allowing the union to reinvest directly in its members and their communities. This partnership ensures that the benefits of union membership extend beyond the workplace—supporting education, empowerment, and opportunity.
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements and follow the application process outlined in CEIU Policy 31 – Scholarship Guidelines. Each recipient may receive only one CEIU scholarship within a five-year period.
PSAC also offers scholarships to members in good standing and their dependents. Updates, when scholarships applications are open, are available on the PSAC Education page.
