CEIU’s National Health & Safety Officers offers trainings on a range of topics.

CEIU’s Employment Equity & Human Rights Officer can provide training on employment equity, duty to accommodate, and a range of intersectional human rights topics.

PSAC offers some of the best union education courses in the Canadian labour movement.

The Online Education Program offers union training at your own pace and time. These introductory courses provide a solid overview on a range of topics. Explore the union’s basic roles and responsibilities including the services it provides all members.

Here are some resources for your union local to manage finances: 

Template financial statement (2025) 
Locals are required to submit an audited financial statement annually to remain in good standing. Here is a financial statement template that locals can use. 

Labour Council affiliation subsidy form 
Locals are encouraged to affiliate to their local labour council. Here is an affiliation subsidy form. 
 
Reading the monthly membership report 
This document provides instructions on how to read the monthly membership report issued by the CEIU National Office. 
 

Managing local finance tutorial 

Managing the day-to-day finance of your local is vital for the proper functioning of our union.  

Submitting financial statements to the National Office is necessary for compliance with our bylaws and regulations, for example. 

That’s why we offer customized training to CEIU locals across the country. 

Our national Director of Finance and Administration is available to meet with your local to provide a tutorial on managing local finances.
