National Executive
The CEIU National Executive is made up of a full-time National President, a National Executive Vice-President, and 15 National Vice-Presidents (NVPs) who represent regions and portfolios across the country.
Between National Triennial Conventions, the National Executive serves as the union’s governing body, guiding CEIU’s direction and ensuring accountability to members.
All NVPs are CEIU members, elected directly by fellow members. Regional NVPs represent defined geographic areas, while Portfolio NVPs represent departments or equity-deserving groups.
Together, we ensure every member’s voice is heard at the national level. Though we represent different regions and portfolios, at the National Executive table we speak with one unified voice — working collectively for the common good of all CEIU members.
The National Executive meets at least three times a year to oversee union operations and respond to membership needs. When urgent or unexpected issues arise, the National President may also call additional meetings to ensure timely action.
For more details on the role and authority of the National Executive, please refer to the CEIU Bylaws.
