CEIU National Convention
CEIU National Convention
The 2026 CEIU National Triennial Convention will take place on the traditional ancestral, and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, known today as Vancouver, British Columbia from September 14 to 18, 2026 under the theme ‘Rooted in Solidarity, Rising in Strength’.
The CEIU National Convention, established under CEIU’s By-Laws and Regulations, is the union’s highest decision-making body. Held every three years, it brings together elected delegates from all regions and locals to debate resolutions, set CEIU’s policies and priorities, and amend the By-Laws and Regulations that govern the union. At Convention, delegates also elect the National President, National Executive Vice-President, and National Vice-Presidents who will lead CEIU for the next term. The event provides a forum for members to shape CEIU’s direction, strengthen democratic participation, and ensure that decisions reflect the collective voice of the membership.
The information package includes: 1) Callout for the 2026 CEIU National Triennial Convention; 2) Callout for Nominations for National President, National Executive Vice-President (NEVP), and Alternate NEVP; 3) Callout for CEIU Delegates to the 2027 PSAC Convention; 4) Callout for Nominations for CEIU National Vice-Presidents
