The 17th National Triennial Convention of the Canada Employment and Immigration Union (CEIU) will be held at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver in Vancouver, BC, from September 13 until the 18, 2026.

Convention will begin with training at 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 13, 2026, and adjourn at 12:00 pm on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Aside from the accredited delegates, any member in good standing of CEIU may attend the 2026 CEIU National Triennial Convention as an observer. However, only the accredited delegates will have the right to debate issues and to vote during the CEIU Convention.

A CEIU member in good standing wishing to attend the 2026 CEIU National Convention as an observer will need to fill out the Observer Application Form >>> 

You must complete the form to be considered as an observer. Only those selected will be contacted.

CEIU National does not provide funds and assumes no responsibility for any costs incurred by or on behalf of observers.  Members who wish to attend as observers must attend at their own expense or contact their local executive and/or their respective CEIU regional National Vice-President(s) to see if there are any available funds that can be provided for their participation as an observer.

Note that applying as an observer does not automatically give you ‘observer status’.  As CEIU will need to limit the number of observer seats, due to space availability, all applications received will then be submitted to the National Vice-President(s) of the respective region to select amongst the members in their region who has sent it their application by the deadline date of June 10, 2026.

Once CEIU National has been advised of the selected observers, by region, an email will be sent to the member(s) advising them that they have been selected as an observer to attend the 2026 CEIU National Convention in Vancouver, BC and at that time, CEIU National will be providing further information, regarding travel, hotel accommodation, accommodation needs, etc.
