CEIU members are found at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC and also named as Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada IRCC), the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) and the Administrative Tribunals Support Service of Canada (ATSSC). While members across all departments fall under the same collective agreement and share similar working conditions, there are issues unique to each.

The CEIU National Convention approved the holding of a National Conference of Citizenship and Immigration Representatives to be held June 4 and 5, 2016. This will allow a national forum for Citizenship and Immigration members to identify issues that require CEIU to pursue.
