Standing Together for our public services March 1st – National Day of Action

Open letter to all CEIU Members:

On behalf of the Canada Employment and Immigration Union, I am asking our members to participate in noon-hour demonstrations on March 1st, 2012.  These demonstrations could be held outside your offices or at designated locations which will be provided closer to March 1st – National Day of Action.

The PSAC will be involved with these demonstrations and more information can be found on their website or by clicking this link.

We need strong support to stand together for our public services.  Canadians depend on public services and the Conservative austerity plan will have a devastating impact on families and communities across Canada.

To show our strong support against the cuts to public services that Canadians rely on, I ask that all CEIU members wear a black t-shirt or a black armband on this National Day of Action.

Let’s stand together on March 1st by wearing black and by participating in noon-hour demonstrations.

With respect and solidarity,

Don Rogers,
National President
