National Vice-Presidents election results

With the NVP elections held in the locals these past few weeks and the ballots counted this past weekend, Brother Eddy Bourque, the CEIU National President and Sister Crystal Warner, the NEVP would like to congratulate the newly elected or acclaimed National Vice-Presidents (NVPs) who will form part of the National Executive with them for the next three (3) year cycle (2017 to 2020).

The NVPs elect/acclaim are as follows:

NVP for Women’s Issues – Western Region – Lynda MacLellan (elected)

NVP for Women’s Issues – Eastern Region – Jodi MacPherson (elected)

*NVP for Human Rights – Nicole Ma (elected)

NVP for Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) – Marco Angeli (elected)

NVP for Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) – Paul Croes (elected)

NVP for BC/Yukon – Vanessa Millar (acclaimed)

NVP for Alberta/NWT/Nunavut – Michelle Henderson (acclaimed)

NVP for Manitoba/Saskatchewan – Dwight McLeod (elected)

NVP for Ontario – Travis Lahnalampi and Nicole Ma (both elected)

NVP for NCR – Jacques Perrin (elected)

NVP for Quebec – Fabienne Jean-François and Lyne Cartier (both elected)

NVP for Nova Scotia/Newfoundland and Labrador – Debbie Morris (elected)

NVP for New Brunswick/PEI – Rhonda Rumson (acclaimed)
The National President, NEVP and all your NVPs will start their term on April 3rd, 2017 – the day that CEIU is removed from trusteeship, as per the decision of the PSAC National Board of Directors.

Congratulations to all the elected/acclaimed NVPs and also a big thank you to all the candidates that ran for these positions and to the members, CEIU and PSAC staff who provided their help with these elections.

The callout for nominations for Alternate NVP positions will be going out to the Locals on April 3rd, 2017. It will also be posted on the CEIU website. Send in your nominations.


*Sister Nicole Ma is declared the NVP for Human Rights. She has also been declared one of the elected NVPs for the Ontario Region and has accepted that position pending the appeal period.
