International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia

Coming Up on May 17:
International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia

May 17 of every year is International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT).  It is a rallying event offering an opportunity for people to get together and reach out to one another.  In Canada, Fondation Émergence promotes the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia and encourages organizations and individuals to highlight this event in their environment.

The campaign for 2017 highlights the reality of trans people. .

Click the “I’m In” banner at http://homophobiaday.org/ to order free display materials, and learn about activities, actions, and tools that can be utilized on May 17. We ask that you join in solidarity with your LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters and proudly celebrate this day in your workplace and in your community!
