Call Out: 2017 CEIU National Women’s Conference

The CEIU National Women’s Committee is happy to announce that the 2017 CEIU National Women’s Conference will be held at the Delta in Quebec City located at 690 René-Lévesque East, Quebec, QC G1R 5A8 on November 17-19, 2017 under the theme “CEIU WOMEN ON THE RISE”.

The objectives of the 2017 CEIU National Women’s Conference are as follows:

All CEIU members in good standing who identify as women are invited to apply to attend this National Conference either as a delegate or an observer. We also encourage CEIU women from all equity groups to submit their application to attend this conference.


Please note that your application must be received at the CEIU National Office by no later than 4:00 p.m., Ottawa time, on Friday, September 8, 2017.

Included with your application form, please provide us with a summary describing (in 150 words or less) the following:

“How will my attendance at this Conference impact on our members?” Explain some of the actions you will take because of attending this conference.

Once you receive confirmation that you have been selected as a delegate, information will follow on travel and hotel accommodations. However, for your information, please note that train or air travel will be booked at the most economical cost and any travel by other means will need to be approved by the National Office. Any change in the agreed travel arrangements will also need to be authorised and approved by the National Office.


The non-refundable registration fee for observers has been set at $100. The cheque for the registration fee should be sent along with your completed application form. If you are not selected as an observer, the cheque will be returned to you at the mailing address provided.
