Tentative agreement reached to long-standing SDA II grievances

Following several months of mediation, a tentative agreement has been reached to SDA II grievances. The cases involve work by affected members that was carried out during the period of April 1996 to September 2006.

The grievances were initiated by the National Health Union and since 2007 CEIU has assisted with them. PSAC staff were a constant source of support in the fifteen year work description battle and their efforts are greatly appreciated. The agreement to mediate the cases was reached in March, 2010 and talks extended over a number of months before a settlement was reached.

Details of the agreement will be available in the coming weeks.
