Update on the HRSDC Service Management Structural Model “SMSM” Job Description Grievances

The four thousand five hundred grievances on the SMSM job description file are still progressing, but very slowly. Since the last update, only two files have moved. Here is an update on where some of the GJD files are sitting.

The two groups that have moved on are:

CR-04 Program and Service Delivery Clerk Third level
The grievance was presented at third level this summer. CEIU is waiting for the response.
PM-01 Integrity Services Officer Review of the GJD
The grievance was presented at third level and the employer has allowed it. The employer will conduct a review of the job description.
PM-01 Payment Service Officer Adjudication*
The grievance was denied at third level and sent to PSAC for adjudication
PM-01 Citizen Service Officer Adjudication*
The grievance was presented at third level, was partially accepted and sent to PSAC for adjudication. The employer declined mediation.
PM-02 Integrity Services Investigator Adjudication*
CEIU sent grievance to PSAC for adjudication The employer declined mediation.
PM-02 Citizen Services Specialist

Adjudication*
CEIU sent grievance to PSAC for adjudication. The employer declined mediation.
Adjudication hearing in February

PM-02 Program Officer Third level
The grievance was presented at third level this summer. CEIU is waiting for the response.
PM-02 Services Canada Benefits Officer Adjudication*
CEIU sent grievance to PSAC for adjudication PSAC requested mediation.
PM-03 Senior Integrity Services Officer Closed -Withdrew
The grievance was denied at third level and sent to PSAC for adjudication The Union withdrew the grievance since the only grievor did not want to pursue any further. The file is closed
PM-03 Team Leader Adjudication*
The grievance was denied at third level and sent to PSAC for adjudication
PM-03 Business Expertise Advisor On hold
The grievance has not been presented yet.
PM-04 Business Expertise Consultant Adjudication*
The grievance was denied at third level and sent to PSAC for adjudication
PM-05 Senior Citizen Services Specialist Closed- Withdrew
The Union withdrew the grievance since no grievor wanted to pursue any further. The file is closed
PM-05 Business Expertise Senior Consultant

Adjudication*
The grievance was denied at third level and will be sent to PSAC for adjudication

PM-05 Service Manager Closed -Withdrew
The grievance was denied at third level. The grievors didn’t show interest in continuing. The file is closed

*It should be noted that when grievance files reach adjudication, the timeframe to get through the process would be at least two years.
