Supporting our bargaining team

The bargaining team for the PA contract has begun meetings with the Treasury Board to explore the possibility of reaching an early agreement. The expedited negotiation process will create new pressures for our team members and, as in the past, we must show our support for them.

CEIU members have a strong tradition of supporting their bargaining teams, a tradition that includes activities ranging from wearing buttons in the workplace to public demonstrations. Each team member works at a government job just like every one of us, each feels the pressure of expectations from members across the country, and each works hard to get us what we need. It’s not an easy job.

As the current talks with the Treasury Board progress, members will be asked to support their bargaining team. We are counting on the team, and the team is counting on us.
