Bill C-11: amended version under review

With NDP and Bloc support, the government’s Bill C-11 has moved forward. The amended Bill is now available and the union will be reviewing it to determine the effects on all members at CIC and the IRB.

CEIU members at CIC and the IRB carry out important duties for the people of Canada and bring high levels of dedication and competence to their work. The union will vigorously defend the interests of these members in the face of any changes that the amended Bill C-11 may bring. The results of our review of the legislation as well as our next steps will be available in the near future.
