CEIU Presented a Submission to the EI SQR Panel

Earlier this year, the Government of Canada launched the Employment Insurance Service Quality Review (EI SQR). This was a nationwide consultation process with key stakeholders and the public to seek input on ways to improve services to Employment Insurance (EI) claimants.

In addition to online consultation, direct contact with various stakeholders and town hall meetings across the country, the EI SQR Panel contacted CEIU for input from the Component and its members. During this consultation, CEIU had the opportunity to bring Local representatives from Call Centres, Payment and Processing and the Front Line to bring their point of view forward on EI.

CEIU provided a written brief on concerns and potential solutions. This was a collaborative effort that involved Locals, Deputy Trustees and PSAC. Here the link to the Submission that was presented to the Parliamentary Secretaries.
