Wearing black in Bathurst

First in with pictures from its "wear black" activities was the CEIU local in Bathurst, New Brunswick. Members were marking the June 20 expiry of the current collective agreement and sending a clear message to the Treasury Board: let’s get serious about a new contract.

Robert Hamel, the local president in Bathurst, said his members were happy to show their support for the PSAC bargaining teams and the push for a new contract. "It was a great way to raise the profile of bargaining in the local and to let the employer know that we don’t want long delays in negotiations."
