Your bargaining team is back at the table in February and you can wear your support for them. Bargaining buttons have been distributed to CEIU locals across the country and are available from your local executive.

Collective bargaining is our best chance to improve our salaries and working conditions, but to win a fair contract members must be aware of the key issues and become increasingly active as negotiations move forward. Our bargaining buttons will help to raise the profile of bargaining in the workplace and send a message to the employer that we want a fair contract.

You have a right to wear these buttons. If the employer challenges your right, you can rely on the Bodkin decision. For more help, contact the CEIU regional office that works with your local.

Keep up to date on negotiaions by visiting the collective bargaining section of this site as well as the PSAC website. When your local takes action around bargaining—information sessions for members, public demonstrations or other support activities—please send us a note along with pictures, if possible. There is a lot at stake for us in this round of bargaining. We need a good pay increase and solid protection around issues like core hours of work for day workers.
