Members in Happy Valley-Goose Bay thank their negotiating team

CEIU joined other PSAC components to deliver support and thanks to the members of their negotiating team. “We know how much time and effort is put in by the members of the team on our behalf” said CEIU Local President Debbie Morris, “so giving up a little of our time was a pleasure.”

They took their demonstration first to the Service Canada office and then to the office of MP Todd Russell. Passing motorists honked their support and the local paper covered the demonstration.

Like members elsewhere, those at local 90107 are fed up with the delaying tactics of the Treasury Board. According to Morris, “Our members are once again plagued with stalling tactics by the employer and they’re tired of these tricks.”

“Building this kind of support and appreciation for our bargaining team strengthens the connection to the members,” said National President Jeannette Meunier-McKay, “and when the connection is strong, the outcome is always better.”
