HQ members keep bargaining pot boiling

Never afraid of an impromptu event to maintain the profile of bargaining issues, members in the Headquarters region staged a brief noon-time demo in the busy Place du Portage complex. The message to the employer? Negotiate a fair pay offer!

Pictured below are Local Presidents Claudine Bouchard and Bev Bonner along with headquarters National Vice-President Jacques Perrin. Together they spread the word to the large lunch-time crowds at Phase IV. “We’ll be stepping up our activities using some creative approaches” said Perrin, “so that Treasury Board gets serious and makes us a decent offer.”

National President Jeannette Meunier-McKay thanked all those involved, saying “Bargaining will intensify in the fall and we need to keep members focused on the issues throughout the summer months. Every action helps.”
