Bargaining conference elects CEIU members to negotiating team

Delegates to the PSAC national bargaining conference have elected two CEIU members to the PA (Programme and Administrative Services) negotiating team. Carm Chan and Louiselle Laforest were elected at the conference that ended on February 4.

Both Chan and Laforest sit on the CEIU national executive as Vice-Presidents for the Alberta/NT/Nunavut and Quebec regions respectively. They will join other negotiating team members for a final determination of bargaining priorities at the end of February.

The delegates to the bargaining conference carried out a close review of the proposals submitted by union locals across the country. CEIU was represented by National President Jeannette Meunier-McKay, Carm Chan, Louiselle Laforest, Mike Nugent and Barry Wilton. Our thanks go to them for their work on behalf of the membership and our congratulations go to sisters Chan and Laforest on their election to the negotiating team.
