What Can You Do

There is plenty you can do to show your support for our bargaining team and help with strike preparations. Everyone’s participation is important. The more members participate, the lighter the workload and the stronger our message to the employer. Speak with your Local executive to see how you can help.

Dress down
Wear your dissent. Show your displeasure with the employer’s offer by dressing down on union-designated “casual dress” days.

Dress up
Wear your support. Dress up in union T-shirts and buttons to send the message we deserve better.

Decorate
Let your desk do the talking. Beautify your workspace with union stickers and balloons.

Meet
Get together. Discuss bargaining and strike preparation issues with other members at lunchtime.

Fundraise
Bolster the budget. Help run contests and draws to build your local strike fund.

Demonstrate
Show you’re ready and willing to go all the way. Carry a “just practicing” sign at a pre-strike information picket.
